Floorplanner
You can generate and visualize the unit mix for your designs by accessing the Floorplanner.
Accessing the Floorplanner
- Click on the 'Eye' icon in the bottom-left corner.
- This will give you difference visualization options - click on the 'Units' option to visualize your design with unit mix and tenancy distribution.
Circulation (communication cores and corridors) preview is available as transparent blocks inside building volume.
Toggle between view modes
You can always change the view modes by clicking on the ‘Eye’ icon and selecting other options. Your changes will be saved automatically and be reflected in the building geometry.
Modify Tenancy
In the 'Units' mode of your design, you can
- Visualize floor plan
- Read area statistics of units
- Change floor plan shape
- Change placement of walls
Visualize Floor plan
Double click on a block to access the floor plan view for that block. To select another block, just double click on it.
Blocks above the currently selected one will hide. To select a hidden block press ESC or select a block from another building.
To deselect the currently active block, press ESC.
- Press the Up and Down arrow keys to toggle move between the floors of that block.
Read Area Statistics of Units
Each floor plan will show you the unit mix and the associated area for each unit.
Zoom into the unit to read the area for particular units. This value refreshes and gets updated as you modify units.
Tenancy statistics
Tenancy statistics appear as soon as you enter the ‘Unit’ mode, in place of the ‘Block’ mode statistics. The statistics include information on the total number of units, NFA (Net Floor Area), circulation area and number of floors.
To change units number, input the desired quantity into the ‘Target’ field (1) and press ‘Play’ (2).
Change floor plan Shape
With the Floorplanner you can change the geometry of individual floors and units. The building core editing is not currently available.
Editing the floor plan boundary
You can change the floor plan boundary by moving its corner points or by offsetting the edges.
To move the corner point, click onto the handles (black & white circle) located on floor plan corners, and move the points using controls.
To offset the floor plan edge, click onto the handle (black & white circle) located in the center of the edges, and move the point using controls.
Change Placement of Walls
To move the walls, hover onto the wall. A selected wall will be highlighted. Click the selected wall, to show controls. Now you can move the wall perpendicularly by dragging the Gumball.
Adding and deleting walls
In floor plan edit mode you can add and delete selected walls.
To add a new wall, select and click the wall near which you want the new wall to appear. With the selected wall, press the ‘K’ button. The new wall will appear next to the currently selected one.
To delete, select the wall you want to erase and press ‘L’ button.
Saving your work
On exit of Unit mode, the changes made in the tenancy mode are automatically saved and reflected in the building block shape. To edit tenancy units further, toggle back the Unit mode and start your work where you left off.
